My Story
Coffee Ultimate was founded by Karl The Fog in 2020. After years of trying to master home brewing, I realized that most online coffee advice was either too technical for beginners or too generic to be helpful for the home barista.
When I launched KarlTheFog.coffee in 2020, I wanted to give hope and tips on brewing my coffee beans, to produce the best cup of coffee at home. For my home baristas out there, like me.
I started this site to document my journey through the world of specialty coffee—from mastering the “dialing in” process to understanding the chemistry of water alkalinity and its effect on extraction.
